How to Submit a Suspicious Email to Information Security

There are a few items needed by the Cyber Security Team to investigate a a suspicious email:
The suspicious email (preferred)
The "Internet Headers" that came with the email (Helpful but optional)
Affected user
Date and Time that the email was received
Acquire the Internet Headers
1. Double-click the email from your inbox to open it. It should open in a separate window.
2. Next click File, then Properties
3. At the bottom is a text box titled "Internet Headers," highlight all the text within the Internet Headers section (as shown in the picture) and copy them to a separate file called "Internet Headers" as it will be needed to attached to the ticket.
4. Save the Suspicious Email by following the guide here:

Please do not click on any links within the email as you follow the guide

5. Please submit a ticket using the following form (You can click the following link to be directed to form):
6. Please attach the saved email and internet header file(s) the to following section of the ticket:
6a. Click on Browse, and then choose the email and internet header file(s) that was saved to your computer
7.
Delete
the saved file(s) from your computer and recycle bin after the email has been successfully attached to the ticket
