The Broward College Department of Safety, Security, and Emergency Preparedness team has partnered with Alertus Emergency Systems
to install a NEW emergency application that will be installed on classroom podiums, staff computers, and common areas beginning June 27, 2019.
This application provides Faculty and Staff a direct communication to Campus Safety in the event of an emergency.
The e-panic emergency application icon is located on the taskbar, bottom right-hand corner of your screen near the digital clock.
To see this button on your PC you have to restart your computer enable for the application to download, once your computer successfully has restarted, the e-panic icon will show up. (see picture below)
Note: you only have to do this once, for the application to be installed on your desktop.
To activate the e-panic application, simply Right-Click the red button and Left-click on an incident type from the menu.
There is also a SILENT dispatch for an armed intruder (Hotkey = Alt + F7)
Activation of the e-panic application will alert Campus Safety to the need of an immediate response.
