How to Re-Register the BC One Access Protect App on a new device using Security Questions.

Adding Multifactor Authentication with Onelogin Protect

This setup guide is assuming security questions are already setup and a user would like to add additional Multifactor Authentication (MFA) protection to their Broward College account using the Onelogin Protect App. The app will allow the user to receive push notification when someone is trying to log into their account and they can deny or allow login access immediately.

NOTE: If you are going to use the OneLogin Protect App as your default 2-Factor Authentication (MFA) you will need to be at a computer and have your smart phone/device available.

Step 1. Go to www.broward.onelogin.com

Step 2. Log in with your BC Email or User name, click Continue.

Step 3. Type your BC Password, click Continue.

Step 4. Once you successfully logged into BC One Access, click on your name on the top right-hand corner.  Select Profile

Step 5.  If the Broward Protect App is your default method of authentication and you have security questions, you will need to set up security questions as you Default 2-Factor Authentication.

click over the three dots options will appear, select "Set as Primary"

Your security questions will now be your Default 2-Factor Authentication.

Once you have made the Broward Security Questions you Default 2-Factor Authentication, you will need to Remove your Broward Protect.

Step 6. To remove Broward Protect, click over the three dots options will appear, select remove.

Step 7. Select Remove Again


Step 8. In your BC One Access Profile, Click Add Factor

Broward Protect will appear, leave this screen up on your PC as you will be required to scan the code

Get the Onelogin Protect app

If do not have the Protect App on your new device, you will need to install the OneLogin Protect App on your device (cell phone).

 

Once the download is complete.

TO DO:

  1. Open the Protect app on your and tap the + at the top right to add your account.

    You will be prompted for access to your camera to scan a , Click Ok.

There are two methods of pairing your device; Scan bar code or manual entry.  Choose your method by selecting Scan Bar code or Manual Entry

When using the barcode scanner; scan the QR Code that appears on your PC. The box displays a green checkmark will appear, success!


 

If the code doesn't scan for you, select Manual Entry on your computer, once you receive the code, enter the code into your smart phone.

If you want the Broward Protect app as your 2-Factor Authentication, click over the three dots options will appear “Set as Primary”.

Your Default method is now Broward Protect App.

 

The next time you are prompted to authenticate, the log in screen notifies you that it's waiting for your approval.

 

Each time you sign in to Broward College One Access from off-campus, you will be prompted on your smart phone to Accept or Deny the log in.

Note: If you receive a notification on your smart phone and you are not attempting to log

in, Choose Deny and immediately change your password.  This is your added layer of security.
