BC One Access Login First Time Set Up: Off Campus - Protect App and Questions (L2)

Step 1: Go to the Broward College home page (www.broward.edu). Click Login on the upper

 right-hand corner. Select BC One Access.

Step 2. Log in with your BC Email or Username, click Continue.

Step 3. Type your BC Password, click Continue.

4. When attempting to sign in for the 1st time, you will see a message stating that 2-factor authentication is required to secure your account, click Continue.

There are two options to secure your accounts using Multi Factor Authentication (MFA):

Step 5. Select the Authentication Factor you would like to use.

  1. OneLogin Protect App on your cell phone. (See Step 6)      
  2. Answer two Security Questions (See Step 13)  

*The OneLogin Protect allows you to use an app on your smartphone to accept or deny access to your BC One Access account.

NOTE: If you are going to use the OneLogin Protect App as your default MFA, you will need to be at a computer and have your smartphone available.

Step 6. Once you select the Broward Protect Authentication Factor you will be prompted to install and launch the OneLogin Protect app and on your smartphone. When the download is complete, go back to your computer to continue setting up your account, click “Activate”

Step 7. Open the Protect app on your smartphone and tap the + at the top right to add your account. You will be prompted for access to your camera to scan a barcode, Click Ok.

 

Step 8.  There are two methods of pairing your smartphone; Scan barcode or manual entry.  Choose your method by selecting:

Step 9. Use the phone's camera to scan the QR code that appears on your PC. The box displays a green check once your phone is paired (registered) to your OneLogin account. The Protect App will automatically be your default 2-Factor Authentication, click Continue.

If the code doesn't scan for you, click Manual Entry on your computer, once you receive the code, enter the code into your smartphone.

The OneLogin Protect home screen appears on your smartphone with the account you configured.

The next time you are prompted to authenticate, the log in screen notifies you that it's waiting for your approval.

Each time you sign in to Broward College One Access from off-campus, you will be prompted on your smartphone to Accept or Deny the login.

Note: If you receive a notification on your smartphone and you are not attempting to log

in, Choose Deny and immediately change your password.  This is your added layer of security.

           

Step 10. After setting up your Protect App, you will be prompted to set up two security questions to use as an alternative method just in case you misplace, break or buy a new phone.

Select the two questions that you are most likely to remember, enter the answers, click Save.

Step 11.  Once you have set up your Login Protect app and your two security questions, your profile will open, click on your name in the top right-hand corner and select App Portal/Home to access your Broward College Resources (Email, D2L, myBC and Office 365).

Step 12. Once you have set up your two security questions and Broward College Protect App,
you can make either your security questions or your Protect App your default factor authentication method.

*if you set up your Multi Factor Authentication you will be able reset your own password.

What does set a primary mean?
You have the choice of what security factor you want to use for log-in. You can use the Broward Protect or the Security question

When you login from outside of the BC network, you will be prompted to answer your two security questions.

Step 13. To access you Broward College Resources (Email, D2L, myBC and Office 365), click on your name in the top right-hand corner and select App Portal/Home.
